Impetigo doesn’t hurt. However, it is not an infection to be taken lightly as it is very contagious and it can spread quickly. A medical consultation is therefore imperative in order to determine the appropriate treatment. Piercing the bubbles and softening the scabs and then facilitating their fall by washing them with soap is essential because bacteria survive less well in an open wound than in a wound with a scab that protects them.
