Will a smart gadget help you stick to a healthy lifestyle? Let’s check.

ONETRAK Sport, 7500 rubles

– All these trackers for me are not a fashionable gadget, but a really useful thing. To tell the truth, I am a bit obsessed with healthy lifestyle. It is important for me to track my activity, I constantly count How long I ate and How long water I drank. And the fitness bracelet helps me with this. But here it is important that it is really useful, and not just a beautiful accessory. For the last three months I have been wearing OneTrak, the brainchild of Russian developers. I’ll tell you about him.

TTH: activity monitoring (counts the distance traveled in steps and kilometers), tracking the time and quality of sleep, a smart alarm clock that wakes up at the right sleep phase, at a convenient moment. Nutrition analytics here are very interesting – I’ll tell you in detail below. There is also a dedicated calorie balance, detailed statistics, goal setting – this is a fairly standard set.

maa: it is stated that it holds a charge for up to seven days. So far I have nothing to complain about – he works exactly a week, 24 hours a day. It is charged via USB via an adapter in the manner of a flash drive.

Faʻaaliga: looks like a sports watch. The screen is inserted into a rubber bracelet, which is available in different colors. And this is one of the few weak points of the tracker. I wear it every day, and if it fits perfectly into a sporty style, then it goes badly with dresses and skirts. At the same time, the bracelet is quite noticeable; in the summer it will become very difficult to wear it with chiffon dresses. True, when you get used to the fact that he is constantly on your hand, you stop noticing it. Until he catches the eye in the photo. In the meantime, I change bracelets (it’s very easy to do, each new one costs only 150 rubles, so you can quite afford the entire line of colors) and combine them with different sweatshirts. Nice, but I would like the device, which is always with you and in full view, was a little more elegant.

The tracker itself: very convenient – the main data is displayed on the touch monitor, which you can view quickly without taking out the phone and without downloading the application. This is a plus. The time, the number of steps, the distance, how many calories you have left are displayed in plus or minus (he counts himself if you bring in what you have eaten per day). But the data appears when you touch the monitor, the rest of the time it is just dark. There is a minus in this touch: ideally, a light touch should suffice. For example, to switch the bracelet to night mode, you need to touch the screen and hold your finger for a few seconds, and after the “to bed” icon appears, briefly touch it again. So, sometimes I have to try to switch many times, because the bracelet simply does not respond to touch. The sensitivity of the sensor is not encouraging.

The bracelet sits comfortably on the wrist, the strap is adjustable to any wrist girth. The mount is strong enough, although a couple of times the bracelet caught on clothes and fell.

Faaopoopoga: very convenient! It is wonderful that the developers have collected in one place everything the girl needs: not only the counter of the passed and burned calories, but also the rate of water with a reminder – at specified intervals the bracelet buzzes, a glass appears on the screen. But the main delight is practically a separate food supplement. You can bang the FatSecret, which I have been using for a long time. Everything in the program is clearly structured: it is divided into restaurants, supermarkets, popular brands and food products. That is, many dishes of popular chains have already been packed and counted. And if something is missing, you can find it manually or scan it through a barcode – this function is also available here.

Then the program will summarize everything by itself, subtract it from the calories burned and show you in the end you are in plus or minus. It is convenient to navigate, because everything is instantly recalculated, you just have to move and spend energy.

There are drawbacks in the operation of the application – sometimes it hangs for no apparent reason on the choice of products, you have to completely close the program and start it again. This happens infrequently, but with a certain regularity that allows us to talk about a glitch.

What is missing: what I really lack is the ability to log different types of activities. For example, just a thousand steps and a thousand steps taken during an intense two-hour dance workout is a very different amount of calories burned. Or another nuance – you cannot take the bracelet to the pool, but I would like to record the 40-minute activity in the general record. And so with almost any sport, except walking and running.

This is because of the real shortcomings. From what I have not met, but would very much like to see in my tracker – automatic switching from night mode to active mode and back. Because I often forget to wake up my gadget in the morning, and as a result, he considers half a day of movement to me as an active sleep.

Iloiloga: 8 out of 10. I take XNUMX points for touchscreen problems and rude design. The rest is a wonderful high-quality Russian-made gadget, which is especially pleasing.

– I’ve been looking for a suitable tracker for a long time. My main requirement for him is that the gadget can count the pulse. Everything else, from counting steps to analyzing the menu, can be done by the phone. But the pulse is the whole problem. The fact is that during cardio training I often get the feeling that I go beyond the effective heart rate. But just the feeling is not enough for me, everything needs to be documented. The choice was, frankly, not rich. As a result, I am the proud owner of an Alcatel OneTouch Watch.

TTH: calculates the distance traveled and calories burned based on your physical parameters. It records the speed of movement, measures the training time and, of course, the heart rate. Analyzes the phases of sleep. It also beeps when you receive a message or letter. With the help of the clock, you can turn on the music or the camera on the phone, find the phone itself, which has fallen somewhere in the car or in the bag. There is even a compass and weather service.

maa: the developer claims that the charge will last for five days. In fact, if you use the capabilities of the watch at full capacity, the battery lasts for 2-3 days. However, they are fully charged in 30-40 minutes, which is a big plus for me. They are charged through an adapter – either from a computer or from an outlet.

Faʻaaliga: it looks like a watch. Just a watch. Neat, minimalistic, with a strict glossy dial – it lights up by itself if you turn your hand. You cannot change the strap for them: a microchip is built into it, through which charging is carried out. The color assortment is small, only white and black are offered. I settled on black – it is still more versatile. The design of the dial can be changed along with the mood – transfer to it a piece of the beautiful morning sky, photographed on the way to work, or the light of a candle, which stands on the side of the bath in the evening. On the whole, it is an elegant toy.

The tracker itself: very comfortable. You can use it in the dust, in the shower, and in the pool. Everything that you walked up during the day displays on the monitor (so bright, you look – and the mood rises). At the same time, the monitor itself is very sensitive, the sensor works perfectly. The basic settings can also be changed right on the hand: turn on or off the vibration signal, change the design of the dial (if you do not upload a new picture), activate the airplane mode (there is one). Allows you to see the weather, start the stopwatch and check if there are any missed calls and messages.

There are, perhaps, two drawbacks: firstly, the hand under the tight strap still sweats during training. Secondly, although the clock analyzes the quality of sleep, the alarm clock for some reason does not use this function, and will not be able to wake you up at the right phase.

About the application: suitable for smartphones on Android, and for the “apple” operating system. In it, you can set the main parameters: a picture on the dial, what kind of alerts you want to see, set basic goals. If you regularly achieve these goals, the application will offer you to increase them – and it will certainly praise you for your diligence. Speaking of praises, by the way. A whole system of titles is provided here. For example, if you regularly plow in the gym for a month, you will receive the title of “Machine Man”. Have you customized your watch face more than 40 times? Yes, you are a fashionista! Have shared your successes on the social network more than 30 times – congratulations, you are a real social idol. Well, if your heart rate is over a hundred and you are not in the gym, the watch will diagnose you in love.

In addition, the application lists your daily workload on the shelves: How long you walked, How long you ran, how many calories you burned for each type of load and for how long. But you cannot bring in what you have eaten – there is no such function. But personally, this does not bother me – there is no desire to painstakingly enter and calculate all the products.

Iloiloga: 9 out of 10. I take off points for a flaw in the alarm clock.

Apple Watch Sport, 42 mm case, rose gold aluminum, from 30 rubles

– I went with Jawbone for a long time. I had the very first 24 tracker, then I enjoyed the Move model and of course I couldn’t get past the Jawbone UP3. Apple Watch was presented to me for the new year by my beloved husband: a beautiful watch with cool applications and Mickey Mouse on the screen saver. I love to track my activity throughout the day, take my pulse and appreciate it when my favorite tracker reminds me that I haven’t been warming up for a long time. But I will probably disappoint many by saying that if you need a fitness tracker, you shouldn’t spend 30 thousand on an Apple Watch.

TTX: For starters, Apple Watch is a stylish accessory – the design of watch models is at its best! Retina display with Force Touch, composite back, Digital Crown, heart rate sensor, accelerometer and gyroscope, water resistance, and of course a speaker and microphone to chat through your phone.

The gadget combines the functions of a smartwatch, a partner device for the iPhone and a fitness tracker. As a health and fitness gadget, Watch counts the heart rate, there are applications for training, walking and running, as well as Food applications.

maa: and here I hasten to disappoint you. 2 days is the maximum that the watch kept for me. Then, for a week, my lovely Apple Watch only shows the time, in economical charging mode. It suits me completely, by the way. After all, this is a watch in the first place.

Faʻaaliga: the most beautiful digital clock I’ve ever seen. glossy glass, anodized aluminum housing, Retina display and custom-designed fluoroelastomer strap that can be changed. By the way, the straps are presented in more than twenty unrealistically cool shades (my favorites are classic beige, lavender and blue). Other models also feature steel and leather straps. In general, any, even the most demanding user will find the one that they like.

The tracker itself: As I already wrote, Apple Watch is the most beautiful, stylish and comfortable electronic watch in the world. It’s not for nothing that Apple designers have been developing their designs for so many years. You can change the picture on the splash screen, reply to a message (by voice dialing), call your beloved girlfriend and, by the way, while driving this gadget is an irreplaceable thing. When the phone works as a navigator, and you need to answer important messages or view mail, you can do this through Apple Watch without unnecessary gestures. Cool?

Faaopoopoga: here I can put a big, big minus for the fact that everything is located in different applications. Apple Watch measures heart rate, but honestly, when I tried to do it while charging, it was quite uncomfortable.

Apple Watch includes a proprietary Activity app. The program interface contains a pie chart with which you can see the number of calories burned, the intensity of physical activity. After that, you can go to the general application “Life statistics” on your phone and see your activity for the day, week, month, but you will not be able to combine training and nutrition, for example, in one application. WaterMinder – to maintain water balance, Lifesum – monitors nutrition, Streaks – workout planner, Stepz – counts steps, and Sleep Diary will guard your sleep.

What is missing: I really like Jawbone, for example, as a fitness tracker, because everything is very clear there. A large and understandable application, and plus – isn’t it scary for you to go to an intense workout in 30 thousand hours? Unfortunately, the glass breaks on the Apple Watch, just like on the phone. Replacement, by the way, costs about 15 thousand rubles. I watch my activity from time to time and like to include walking or running mode while walking.

Result: score 9 out of 10. Recommend an Apple Watch? No problem! This is the most beautiful and comfortable digital clock in the world. But if you want a fitness tracker and nothing else, check out the other models.

FitBit Blaze, from 13 rubles

– I have had a love for Fitbit since that distant time, when fitness bracelets were not yet a universal trend. The latest novelty pleased with the touch screen, but due to numerous bells and whistles, the once thin graceful bracelet has turned into a full-fledged somewhat bulky watch. I consider it important to have a daily opportunity to compete with friends: who has passed the most, therefore, when choosing a bracelet, I would advise you to find out what gadgets your friends and colleagues have, so that you have someone to measure your steps with.

TTH: FitBit Blaze monitors heart rate, sleep, calories burned and physical activity. A new feature – the watch will automatically recognize what exactly you were doing – running, playing tennis, riding a bicycle – no need to enter activity manually. Every hour, the tracker prompts you to walk if you have walked less than 250 steps during this time. Silently wakes up, vibrating on the hand.

From smart watch functions – notifies about incoming calls, messages and meetings and allows you to control music in the player.

maa: it keeps charging for about five days. However, this greatly depends on the mode in which the heart rate monitor works. Charges using a slightly odd latching pad for a maximum of a couple of hours.

Faʻaaliga: Unlike its predecessors, the new Fitbit looks like a watch. Square screen and a variety of straps – classic rubber in three colors (black, blue, plum), steel and three leather options (black, camel and misty gray). In my opinion, a somewhat masculine and rude design. The heart rate monitor badge is located on the back of the tracker, but more on it below.

The tracker itself: Considering the fact that the tracker is quite voluminous – a wide strap and a large touch screen – it is not always comfortable to wear it 24 hours a day, especially during intense workouts or sleep. True, there is an opportunity to outweigh from hand to hand, the main thing is not to forget to change in the application which hand you are wearing: the counting system changes a little.

About the application: First of all, it’s great that it is possible to customize what exactly and in what order will be displayed on the main screen – steps, flights of stairs, heart rate, calories burned, weight, water consumed per day, and so on. The application is intuitive, draws beautiful informative graphs of everything (steps, sleep, heart rate) for the day and for the week. It also builds all your friends in a list by the number of steps taken per week, which is very motivating to move more, since being the last is not very pleasant. The application has an incredible amount of options for activities – you can add anything, up to playing badminton on the wii game console. In addition, Fitbit has an extensive system of prize challenges – 1184 km traveled – and crossed Italy.

An added bonus is that Fitbit has a scale that can also be synced to the app, and then you have another nice graph with weight changes.

What is missing: there is no way to bring food, but it counts water separately. Of the obvious disadvantages is the lack of water resistance. Constantly taking off the bracelet in the shower, on the beach, in the pool threatens that later you will simply forget to put it on, and all your walking efforts will remain unaccounted for. A fairly voluminous sensor that measures the pulse can create discomfort due to the fact that it must constantly rest tightly against the hand.

Iloiloga: 9 out of 10. I take out one very fat point for lack of waterproofing.

– For a long time I did not understand what a fitness bracelet is for. And to this day, for me, it’s just an attractive accessory that, as a bonus, helps me to lead a more active lifestyle. From an aesthetic point of view, Jawbone is the most optimal option for me, the “insides”, however, also quite suit me.

TTH: movement and physical activity tracking, food diary, smart alarm, sleep stage tracking, Smart Coach function, reminder function.

maa: initially, the Jawbone UP2 battery did not need to be recharged for 7 days. The firmware of the device is regularly updated, so now the fitness bracelet can be charged a little less often – once every 10 days. The tracker is charged using the included mini USB cable. It is better not to lose or break the charger, as it is special, magnetic.

Faʻaaliga: Jawbone UP2 is available in five colors and two variants of the bracelet – with a regular flat strap and a strap made of thin silicone “wires”. For myself, I chose the standard design – it sits better on my wrist, the girth of which, by the way, is only 14 centimeters. In general, this fitness bracelet looks quite elegant: you certainly cannot wear it with an evening dress, but it looks pretty decent with dresses and casual sets.

The tracker itself: looks very stylish and graceful. It has an aluminum anodized body with multi-touch capability. As such, it does not have a screen – only three indicator icons for different modes: sleep, wakefulness and training. Previously, in order to switch from one mode to another, you had to touch the bracelet. However, after updating the firmware, the tracker automatically switches to the required mode, carefully monitoring physical activity. You don’t need to press anything else.

Faaopoopoga: all information can be seen in a special application, which, by the way, is considered one of the best in its category. It connects to the bracelet via Bluetooth and shows in real time how many steps and kilometers traveled. In addition, the user can independently fill in information about the food eaten and the amount of water drunk.

An interesting Smart Coach feature looks like tooltips and tips. The program studies the habits of a particular user and helps to achieve the set goal. Advises, for example, to drink a certain amount of water.

During training, the “smart” application will automatically determine that it is time for physical activity. The program will offer you to choose the type of training from the existing rather extensive list: there is even a ping-pong game. At the end of the workout, the app will display all the important information: energy consumption, workout time and calories burned.

My favorite feature is notifications. At night, the tracker monitors the phases of sleep (after waking up, you can study the graph) and wakes up with a soft vibration at the specified time interval, but at the optimal moment of the sleep cycle. In addition, you can set reminders in the application: the bracelet will vibrate if, for example, you have been motionless for more than an hour.

What is missing: Unfortunately, the device also has disadvantages. Firstly, I would like a more comfortable clasp. In my version of UP2, it periodically unbuttoned or caught on the hair on the head when inadvertently moving, pulling out a decent tuft. Secondly, it would be great to see a better synchronization system. It periodically crashes: the download is too slow, and sometimes the application cannot connect to the bracelet. Fortunately, this doesn’t happen very often. But, perhaps, the main disadvantage of UP2, I consider the bracelet itself: the silicone material, although it looks solid, turned out to be not very durable.

Faʻatulagaina: 8 i fafo mai 10. I took two points for the strength of the bracelet. Other cons are not so global.

C-PRIME, Women’s Neo, 7000 rubles

– I am very calm about all kinds of gadgets and trackers. So when a few years ago my friends together assured me to try the newly appeared and immediately become incredibly fashionable sports C-PRIME bracelet, I, I must admit, was rather skeptical about this idea. Well, really! Why spend money on some kind of bracelet, even if it is designed to increase energy potential and expand the range of physical capabilities. And I’m not talking about the fact that this sports gadget should track all activity during the day, count the pulse and be stuffed with numerous bright applications! Then they only dreamed about it. But, as you understood, in the end they put me on a sports bracelet, and I became the owner of a fashionable (at that time) device.

TTX: the gadget is made in the USA from surgical polyurethane with a built-in antenna that converts the negative effects of electromagnetic radiation (cell phone, tablet with Wi-Fi, etc.). The bracelet improves health, relieves joint pain, tidies up the nervous system and normalizes sleep. Wonders? In fact, no miracles – ordinary physics plus nanotechnology.

maa: what is not, that is not.

Faʻaaliga: a functional accessory looks very stylish due to a varied color palette (you can choose any one to your taste). The sports gadget is presented in two lines: Neo, which includes a collection for women and men, and Sport (unisex). All bracelets have the same effect, they differ only in price (the Sport line is a little cheaper).

The tracker itself: or rather, the energy bracelet itself, into which, as I already wrote, a special microantenna is built into, helps the body to work at full strength, without being distracted by the fight against electromagnetic radiation. Nonsense? I thought so too, until a couple of simple tests were done with me. One of them was that you are standing on one leg with your arms outstretched to the sides. Another person grabs you by one hand and tries to fill you up. It’s easy without a bracelet. Still would! But as soon as I put on the bracelet and repeat the same procedure as the man, who at that moment was trying to unbalance me, just hung on my arm. But most of all I liked the fact that the bracelet normalized my sleep. I must confess that I was a fan of horror films, the views of which at some point brought me to the point that I could not sleep. At all. But the instructions for the bracelet indicate that you can wear it at night and this will help cope with insomnia. I tried it. It helped. Not immediately, but after a while I was able to get enough sleep again.

talosaga: ua toesea.

What is missing: everything that goes into understanding a fitness tracker. As it turned out, I expected more from my bracelet, something that it was designed for. Therefore, for some time I wore it with pleasure and slept in it, but at some wonderful moment I just left it on the dressing table among other accessories and completely forgot about it.

Le laina pito i lalo: I, for one, just love to run. And at long distances I have no equal. Not that no one can overtake me, but that I seem to have a second wind in the middle of the way, wings grow and there is a feeling that I am not running, but soaring. For several years, while I lived in Brazil, I jogged through the reserve every morning (it should be noted that the way there is 20 km uphill) and once, for the sake of experiment, I decided to take a sports bracelet with me for jogging. Honestly, the result is immediately noticeable. No, I, of course, soared just like an antelope before, but with a bracelet it turned out easier and more graceful, or something. And, by the way, at the finish line there was no shortness of breath, joint pain and discomfort. It was as if I was not running 20 km, but going across the street to the store. Therefore, I am waiting for the start of the season to get my miracle of technology and repeat my experiments again. It turns out that she missed running.

Iloiloga: 8 out of 10. Not a bad sports gadget. Not a fitness tracker, but as an energy accessory that can restore vitality, why not.

Garmin Vivoactive, 9440 XNUMX rubles

Evgeniya Sidorova, correspondent:

TTX: Vivofit 2 has an auto sync feature that starts instantly when you open the Garmin Connect app. The tracker has an activity timer – in addition to the growing indicator, now on the display you will also see the time that you are without movement. The bracelet screen displays the number of steps, calories burned, distance; he performs sleep monitoring.

The bracelet is water-resistant up to 50 meters! Of course, I have not been able to check yet, but when I find myself on the submarine, I will definitely ask the captain to send the Vivoactive to swim in the depths.

maʻa uila: the manufacturers promise that the bracelet will last for a whole year. Indeed, 10 months have passed since the purchase of the tracker and so far no charging has been needed.

Faʻaaliga: Garmin Vivofit looks like OneTrack – a thin rubber bracelet and a “window” for the tracker itself. By the way, the brand offers replaceable straps of all kinds of colors – for example, a set with red, black and gray can be bought for 5000 rubles.

The tracker itself: in fact, I don’t follow the metrics fanatically. I am satisfied with the appearance of the bracelet (there are 2 pieces in a set – you can choose the size), I even wear it instead of a watch. The time on the screen is constantly needed – it does not go out. There is nothing superfluous that would interfere, it is not in it – it is controlled by one button, you can see the calories burned, the distance traveled in steps and kilometers. A big plus for me is that the fitness tracker is waterproof – I swim with it in the pool. In general, the tracker is invisible on the hand. You remember only when he wakes up – if you are inactive for an hour, he signals that it’s time to get up and shake up. An interesting feature is the countdown. That is, it shows not How long you have passed, but How long you have left to go in order to fulfill the daily quota. A very reliable fastener, which is a huge plus for me, since I manage to lose everything.

Faaopoopoga: intuitive. It was a big plus for me that it syncs with MyFitnessPal. I downloaded this application for a long time, I actively use it and am used to bringing in food so as not to go over my calorie intake. Here, like many bracelets, there are badges for achievements and the opportunity to compete. The big but: all this is stored separately, you need to specifically look for it, which is inconvenient.

What is missing: there is no stopwatch and alarm clock in the tracker, and there is no vibration for notifying events. In addition, the saddest thing is that the strap often unfastens when it hits something. The heart rate monitor requires a separate device.

Iloiloga: 8 o le 10.

Fitness tracker Xiaomi Mi Band, 1500 rubles

Anton Khamov, WDay.ru, designer:

TTH: activity monitoring (distance traveled in steps and kilometers), calories burned, smart alarm clock with sleep phase detection. Also, the bracelet can notify you of an incoming call to your phone.

maʻa uila: according to the manufacturer, the bracelet holds a charge for about a month and this is practically true: I personally charge it every three weeks.

Faʻaaliga: looks pretty simple, but stylish at the same time. The tracker consists of two parts, an aluminum capsule with sensors, three LEDs, invisible at first glance, and a silicone bracelet, where this capsule is inserted. Additionally, you can purchase bracelets in different colors, but I am quite happy with the black one that came with the kit.

Faaopoopoga: all tracker control is carried out through the application. In the program, you can set your goals for the number of steps, set an alarm and share your sports achievements on social networks.

What is missing: separation of types of activity (cycling, walking, running), full water resistance, and of the heart rate monitor, which the manufacturer implemented in the next model.

Tulaga: 10 mai le 10… An excellent device for its price, even with such poor functionality.
