Lacquer masani (Pink lacquer) (Laccaria laccata) ata ma faʻamatalaga

Lacquer pink (O le t. Lacquered lacquer) is a mushroom from the genus Lakovitsa of the family Ryadovkovye.

Pink lacquer hat:

The most diverse form, from convex-depressed in youth to funnel-shaped in old age, often uneven, cracked, with a wavy edge through which the plates are visible. Diameter 2-6 cm. The color changes depending on humidity – under normal conditions, pink, carrot-red, turns yellow in dry weather, on the contrary, it darkens and reveals a certain “zoning” expressed, however, not at all brightly. The flesh is thin, the color of the cap, without a special smell and taste.

Faamaumauga:

Adherent or descending, sparse, wide, thick, the color of the cap (in dry weather it can be darker, in wet weather it is lighter).

Spora pauta:

Lanu paʻepaʻe.

Pink lacquer stem:

Length up to 10 cm, thickness up to 0,5 cm, the color of the cap or darker (in dry weather, the cap brightens faster than the leg), hollow, elastic, cylindrical, at the base with white pubescence.

Faʻasalalau:

The pink lacquer is found everywhere from June to October in forests, on the edges, in parks and gardens, avoiding only excessively damp, dry and dark places.

Ituaiga tutusa:

Under normal conditions, pink lacquer is difficult to confuse with anything; fading, the mushroom becomes similar to the equally faded purple lacquer (Laccaria amethystina), which differs only in a slightly thinner stem; in some cases, young specimens of Laccaria laccata look like honey agaric (Marasmius oreades), which is easily distinguished by white plates.

Mea'ai:

Mushroom basically. taumafabut we love him not for that.
